Valley Marching Bands Set To Kick Off Pigskin Jubilee

RIO GRANDE VALLEY - As several high schools across the valley prepare for "pigskin" an annual UIL event for band students.

The anticipation grows as pigskin is set to kick off today.

Wilcat regiment head director Ron Bissett watches every move at practice.

Students are on the field before sunrise and have put in 8 hours weeks for more than two months. It's become such a big part of their lives Montalvo says he can't imagine high schoool without band.

This year's show being performed by the regiment is called reflections. It includes three movements reflections of form, osund and light.

The upbeat, nearly 8 minute show exudes high energy.
