Several students walked out of class on Thursday morning to rally against potential budget cuts at the University of Texas Pan American.

Students and organizations held a peaceful demonstration to stand up against educational cuts. UTPA is not only facing financial aid threats, but ethnic study programs are also facing major cuts. Organizers say programs like these are vital to students and removing those programs would affect Latin communities throughout the Valley.
