A huge mural in San Juan recognizes Bracerso, or farm workers from Mexico, who worked the farmlands of Texas and other states. The Bracerso program is not studied in schools but is designed to shed light on an important part of our history, here's Sandra Quintanilla with this week's UTPA Report.

UTPA students showed their creativity as they assist a professional artist design and carefully paint images on this building at San Juan's Municipal pool. Among them is Christian Ramirez, coming from a migrant farm worker family, Ramirez says he's proud of helping fellow university classmates create a legacy that honors his grandparents and the thousands of others in the Valley who have tirelessly picked crops in scorching heat and dangerous and unsanitary conditions just to make ends meet.
