UTPA is offering Financial Assistance for the People that can't afford tuition expenses
UTPA - Every year at this time, UTPA's student financial services office is packed with people applying for financial services office is packed with people applying for financial aid. Most qualify and receive some sort of assistance, while these free funds benefit students significantly, many are limited in the number of classes they can enroll in or may not enroll in or may not enroll at all because they still need more help with their college expenses. But administrators are hopeful that a program called UTPA Achieve can fill the void. This new indicative replaces the UTPA Advantage and while some of the requirements differ, the goal remains the same and that's so serve as a supplemental aids for qualified applicants so they can be able to pay their bills. UTPA Achieve is available for the upcoming 2012-2013 Academic Year. A little more than a million dollars is available under the UTPA Achieve program which will cover tuition and fees and $500 Book stipend. To be eligible, students must have a Family income of $40,000 or less and demonstrate financial need, be a Texas Resident, be enrolled 15 hours or more per semester, be an undergraduate in a degree seeking program and meet academic requirements. Garcia says UTPA Achieve is extremely important because it gibes UTPA students relief knowing that additional financial aid for college is available.
