Students, faculty and staff from across the UTPA campus came out in full force with contributions to help make the university's annual Adopt an Angel program a big success this year. Thanks to their gracious donations, more than 200 children of UTPA students were treated to some neat Christmas toys and a nice traditional meal, here's Sandra Quintanilla with this week's report.

The UTPA community answered the call to help spread holiday cheer across campus. Once again students, faculty and staff opened their hearts and contributed to the university's 16th Annual Adopt an Angel program. The program, which is spearheaded by the Office of Student Life and Transition Services, collected new toys and contributions to help college goers on financial aid provide presents for their children. Two hundred and fourteen little ones participated this year. A Christmas tree displayed their pictures to serve as a reminder of those less fortunate and why it's important to support this cause.
