UTB hosts first ever job fair

UTB hosted its first job fair of the semester Thursday in the student union.

The school invited all students to participate in the job fair that included employment opportunities at a local radio station, the US army, the US coast guard, Wells Fargo, Target, The Department of Public Safety and more. Companies like the Texas Department of family and protective services explained that the UTB job fair is a contributing factor in hiring some of their best employees.

"We are trying to recruit caseworkers for our child and protective services, child care licenses and residential child care licensing. University of Texas does provided about 90 percent of the applicants that i get from my area."

UTB will host another job fair in the spring semester.
