Upset customer punches clerk in the face

A Harlingen man was arrested by police after assaulting a clerk about a previous purchase.

On Saturday, August 31st, a call was made to the police department,at 7:15 p.m., in reference to an assault at the First Cash Pawn store at 625 West Tyler Avenue.

The victim, an employee, stated that a customer, later identified as Victor Hernandez, 39, came into the store upset about a purchase he made in the past and then punching the victim in the nose.

Hernandez was found behind the business, police arrested and charged him with assault causing bodily injury.
