EDINBURG- Prosecutors in Edinburg are seeking the death penalty for a man charged in the 2008 shooting deaths of his three sons and mother-in law. Roberto Aguirre Rojas,45, pleaded guilty to killing the three boys, all under the age of nine, and his estranged wife's mother.
Rojas is also accused of shooting his wife, who survived the attack despite being critically wounded. Prosecutors say Rojas became enraged when he found out his wife planned to enroll in college. The trial began Monday in State District Court.
