There are more school closures with the Santa Rosa School District deciding to cancel classes until May 18th because of a case of influenza A.

School officials in Weslaco announced they will remain closed through May 14th after a student in the school district tested positive for the H1N1 virus last week. The district was scheduled to reopen this Thursday but decided to keep schools closed from recommendations from county and health department officials.

In regards to the student that was tested positive, Superintendent, Richard Rivera, says he is recovering and is said to be doing well.
