Labor Department reports 103,000 jobs added in September, leaving jobless rate unchanged.

The Labor Department reported Friday that unemployment remained flat at 9.1 percent with 103,000 jobs created in September, plus 57,000 more the month before, both far short of what's needed to keep the recovery going.

On Capitol Hill, lawmakers are grappling with how to pay for the president's $447 billion jobs bill.

Republicans are trying to force a vote on the plan to prove all Democrats aren't behind it.

Democrats want to wait unttil their revised version comes out next week, which may include a five percent tax on millionaires.

Republicans, meanwhile are accusing the president of spending more time campaigning, and not enough time governing.
