Unemployment Holds Steady
Economy adds 227,000 jobs in February; unemployment rate unchanged at 8.3 percent.
The Labor Department reports the unemployment rate remained unchanged in February as U.S. employers added 227,000 jobs.
The unemployment rate held steady at 8.3 percent.
The Labor Department also says hiring in January and December was better than first reported.
The figures have been revised to show 61,000 additional jobs were added.
In the past three months employers have added an average of 245,000 jobs.
