Unemployment Holds Steady
Loss of temporary government jobs blamed.
The unemployment rate has now topped 9.5 percent for 14 straight months, the longest stretch since the 1930's.
According to the Labor Department, the unemployment rate remains steady at 9.6 percent.
Roughly 95,000 government layoffs last month outpaced hiring in the private sector, which added 64,000 jobs.
Nearly 15-million people remain jobless.
