Unattended toddler, left in car, rescued by police

Law enforcement officials are asking the public about the dangers of leaving a child or pet inside a parked car during when the outside temperature rises.

McAllen police had to rescue a 2 year-old child, on Sunday, after she was left unattended in the parking lot off of the 2800 block of West Nolana. Police were able to locate a female in care of the child, Monica Guadalupe Lopez, 38, and charged her with child endangerment.
