U.I.L. Makes Final Decision on Edcouch Elsa's Football Team
EDCOUCH — The University Interscholastic League has finally made their decision about what to do over the Edcouch Elsa football practice controversy. Officials are allowing the team to continue competition, only forfeiting the team's two non-conference game wins, but head coach Joe Solis is officially suspended for the rest of the football season. Coach Solis will be allowed to maintain his position as Edcouch Elsa's athletic director and be on probation for the next three years. The scandal broke out in September accusing that the players were practicing more than eight hours a week.
