The UIL is applying pressure on athletic coaches, throughout the nation, in making sure student athletes are taken care of when practicing in the heat. With most high school football practices taking place right now coaches are being limited to the number of two a day practice as McAllen Bulldogs Coach Tony Harris states, "They've limited to no two a days during their first four days of practice when they don't have pads and after that you can only do two a day's every other day. It's more in line with what the NCAA is doing."
