BROWNSVILLE — The Brownsville P.D. honored former UFC fighter and Jiu Jitsu specialist Royce Gracie by making him a honorary Police Chief at a ceremony at the police station on Monday. Gracie was on hand to speak to the police officers and also took some time to teach them some new combat moves they could use while out in the field. Gracie stated how he supports police officers and the dangerous work they do, "They got to know what they are doing. I mean, I want them to know what they are doing, because when I am not home they are the ones that protect my house and when I am away I call and say, "Hey guys do you mind driving by my place and check out if everything is okay."
