TXDot Launches Talk, Text, Crash Campaign
STATE OF TEXAS — Accidents and fatalities, caused by distractions, are decreasing according to a recent study by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The administration though hasn't stopped TXDot officials from launching their second annual Talk, Text, Crash campaign. The administration wants to discourage drivers from using their cell phones while driving, but according to the study, 54% of motorist say their driving was no different when speaking on the phone. Statistics show that nearly one in four accidents, in Texas, involves driver distraction.
