RIO GRANDE VALLEY - Throughout the month of December TxDOT has partnered with state troopers and local police to crack down on drinking and driving.

It's part of their Don't Drive if Your Tipsy, Buzzed or Blitzen Campaign and TxDOT says each year they are seeing fewer people driving drunk. This past weekend Texas DPS cracked down hard on drunk drivers as part of their No Refusal weekend. TxDOT also wants to remind drivers that if they are caught driving drunk they could be spending over $17,000 dollars dealing with a DWI charge.
