TX sees job growth in April

AUSTIN, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — The State of Texas added over 33,000 jobs in April keeping the state annul growth above 2.5%.
Texas seasonally adjusted total non-farm employment expanded by 33,100 jobs in the month of April.
The state added 326,000 from April 2012 to April 2013 keeping the annual growth rate in April at 3.0% and the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was unchanged in April at 6.4%.
“All major industries in Texas added jobs over the last 12 months and our civilian labor force is at an all-time high with more than 12.7 million workers,” said Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) Chairman Andres Alcantar. “This is an encouraging period of growth for our state and we will work with our partners to keep Texas the top choice for business in the country.”
