RIO GRANDE VALLEY, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — The Texas Comptroller's Office announced the rollout of "Debt-at-a-glance" which is a web page detailing state and local debt in an easy to read and shareable format.
The Debt-at-a-glance outlines the debt of the state and the 20 most populous cities and counties at www.tellthetruthtexas.org/debt/ which collects useful and hard to find information on the finances of local governments in the State of Texas.
The site will allow visitors to view details on tax rates, debt elections, authorized but unissued debt, certificates of obligation and links to annual financial reports.
Debt-at-a-Glance data for the 20 school districts with the largest student populations will be added next, as will additional cities and counties and special purpose districts.
