Two Wounded In High School Shooting

Investigators say single bullet from dropped gun wounded both victims.

Police in Los Angeles have arrested a student after a shooting on a high school campus left two students injured.

Police took the student into custody on the campus of Glendale High School, about 16 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.

They say the student brought a gun to campus in his backpack and it discharged when he dropped the backpack accidentally.

Two other students were injured and taken to area hospitals.

One is listed in critical condition, the other in serious condition.

Sources at the scene say one student was shot in the head and another was hit in the neck.

Police recovered the gun that was involved.
