Two teens are accused of killing a classmate and trying to bury his body
Garland, TX — An officer asked two teenagers what they were doing in the woods. Police say one of them answered they were burying a body.
Police northeast of Dallas say they were checking on a suspicious vehicle near backed up to the tree line, Saturday night.
That's where they found two 16 year-olds and the body of a 17 year-old classmate.
All three teens attended Wylie East High School. Police say 17 year-old Ivan Mejia was killed behind the school and his body was taken to the woods.
The other two teens are now charged with murder. Detectives have not yet said what motivated the killing.
