Two suspects arrested in homicide case of Southmost man
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Brownsville police have arrested two men believed to be involved in the murder of a Southmost man at his home.
Police with the help of ICE, the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection officials were able to arrest two suspects, identified as Ramon Alberto Quiroga Gonzalez and Federico Hernandez, in the homicide case ofServando Betancourt.
Betancourt was found dead at his home on Sandia St. and his 2003 Blue Ford Escort had been missing for several days. Mexican police located the car in Matamoros and informed detectives of the find and assisted in having the vehicle returned back to Brownsville.
Bond for Gonzalez was set at $1,000,000 and Hernandez is awaiting arraignment.
