KXAS is reporting that two inmates, including one awaiting trial on a capital murder charge, have escaped from the Hopkins County jail on Tuesday morning.

The Hopkins County Sheriff's Department released the identy of the prisoners as Brian Allen Tucker, 44, of Sulphur Springs and John Marlin King, 39, of Cumbly.

It was reported by dispatcher Beth Renfro that both men fled through a recreation yard used by female inmates by squeezing through a gate, then removing their prison clothing and hiding in a wooded area.

Tucker was being held on $1 million bond in the 2011 death of Bobby Riley of Mahoney.

Nine schools in Sulphur Springs have been placec on lock down at this time.
