Two female teens arrested in attempt to smuggle nearly $600,000 in liquid meth

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Custom and Border Protection officers seized several packages of liquid methamphetamine at a Brownsville port of entry.
On Saturday, June 29, officers at the Gateway International port of entry came into contact with two females driving a black 2010 Honda Civic.
Agents identified both female teens as U.S. citizens, a 19 year-old from Brownsville and an 18 year-old from Louisville, Kentucky, and both were sent to a secondary inspection for further questioning.
Officers searched and inspected several household product containers and found packages of liquid meth hidden inside the containers.
The packages total weight was over 39 pounds and estimated at nearly $600,000 dollars, both women were arrested and handed over to Homeland Security Investigators for further questioning.
