Two arrested for selling unauthorized recordings of DVD's and CD's at local flea market

HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Harlingen police arrested two men for selling unauthorized recordings DVD's and CD's at a flea market.
On Sunday, February 16th at around 10 a.m. the Harlingen PD conducted an investigation at the Harlingen Flea Market, located at 4300 South Expressway 77, in regards to selling pirated movies and music.
Officers questioned two men, Henry Herrera, 28, and Rogelio Torrez Jr., 33, who selling and had in their possession DVD Motion Picture and music recordings which did not disclose the name of the manufacturer and the name of the performer or group.
It was noted in the police report that the movies and music were produced on burned DVD-R's and CD's and packaged in white paper envelopes with titles written with a black marker.
Both men were arrested and charged with labeling unauthorized recording, Herrera was handed a $10,000 bond and Torrez Jr. with a $20,000 bond.
