NFL investigates alleged sexual harassment by NY Jets.

An international sports reporter is at the center of a New York Jets sexual harassment investigation.

Ines Sainz says some players and coaches on the team treated her inappropriately on the practice field and in the locker room this past weekend.

Now the National Football League is looking into the allegations.

Sainz is a popular sports reporter for Mexico's TV Azteca.

She didn't file the complaint that triggered the investigation, but on said on the Today Show Tuesday she is glad the NFL has agreed to investigate.

It started at the Jets practice saturday where some players and coaches allegedly threw footballs in Sainz' direction.

Later in the locker room, the reporter says she was subjected to catcalls by the players.

On her Twitter account Sainz posted she was "dying of embarrassment".

Sainz says she chose to ignore it, but a fellow reporter noticed the behavior and later the Association of Women in Sports Media learned of the allegations and asked the NFL to investigate.

Jets owner Woody Johnson has already called Sainz to apologize and the NFL is interviewing players and witnesses.

Sainz is also coming under fire, accused on internet blogs of dressing provocatively.

She responded by posting a photo the outfit she wore to the Jets practice, jeans and a white shirt, on Twitter, saying it was not inappropriate.

Women's rights advocate and former NFL cheerleader Wendy Murphy agrees.

"It does not matter what she was wearing, skin tight jeans or see thru lingerie, none of that is license to commit sexual harassment, period," Murphy says.

Sainz says she has no plans to change the way she dresses, instead calling on the Jets and NFL to make changes in the locker room so the situation doesn't happen again.
