Florida family searching for bird-napper seen stealing their pet duck.

Many families have dogs and cats as pets, but one Cape Coral, Florida family prefers their duck.

Unfortunately, someone swiped him right out of their front yard in a matter of minutes.

The Miller family pet, a duck named Charlie, was stolen.

"In a matter of 10 minutes, he vanished," said Bob Miller.

"He's our pet, we miss him," added his wife Karen Miller. "He followed me and my husband everywhere. We were his family."

While they were on their evening walk, neighbors saw a suspicious box truck pull up in front of the house.

When the Millers returned, Charlie was gone.

"I just hope whoever took him returns him and doesn't use him for dinner," Karen said.

The Millers say Charlie never left the front yard, even for a second.

Now, the duck they took everywhere, including the beach, Key West and all family vacations is gone.

The Millers spent the day handing out flyers in hopes that someone saw something.

"Who doesn't love a duck?" Bob asked.
