A traffic stop netted Cameron County Sheriff deputies $150,000 dollars.
Sheriff Omar Lucio says one of his deputies pulled over an 18 wheeler driving through Combes heading towards Brownsville. The passengers inside the semi told the deputy conflicting stories so the deputy had a K-9 unit search the rig and found nothing. The 18 wheeler was then taken to the International bridge for further inspection and found nearly $150,000 dollars. The money is believed to be drug money and the passengers of the rig have not been charged.
