A routine traffic stop, by Cameron county deputies, led to the discovery of a quarter million dollars and authorities are still trying to determine where all that money came from.

According to reports, an estimated $250,000 dollars was confiscated from two unidentified men after a traffic stop near Old Port Isabel road and Boca Chica Boulevard. The men denied about knowing of the money and were taken into custody for questioning. Investigators believe the money could be drug related but no charges have been filed on both men.
