BROWNSVILLE — A man is being credited with saving the life of a toddler who nearly drowned on Tuesday in a ditch.

Cameron County Sheriff investigators say a 1 and half year-old girl fell into a shallow pool of water on Tapachula Drive and witnessed two men administering CPR on the child. The toddler was under the supervision of her uncle and lost track of the child. Authorities have not pressed any charges against the uncle and they continue to investigate the case. The child was taken to the hospital and it is reported she is doing fine.
