PHARR — A toddler is dead after his father accidentally ran him over Tuesday morning.

It happened in the 400 block of East Nanette Street in Pharr.
Rupert Vasquez (49 years-old) was taking children to school about 7:30 this morning when he backed out of his driveway and hit his one-year-old son with his truck.
The boy was taken to Rio Grande Regional Medical Center where he died a short time after.

The case is under investigation.  It's still not known if the father will face any charges.
