A Texas mother and aunt are arrested after a 23 month old girl is found suffering from alcohol poisoning. Robert Arnold reports.

(KPRC) Felony charges have been filed against the Texas mother and aunt of a 1-year-old girl after police reported the child was found suffering alcohol poisoning.

Police said they were called to a home in February after the child's grandmother and father dialed 911 to report the little girl was vomiting, shivering and her eyes were rolling back in her head.

Police also said the 23-month-old had a strong odor of alcohol.

According to police, the child was then rushed to the hospital and found to have a blood-alcohol level of .268.

That amount is more than triple the limit of alcohol an adult is allowed to have in their system while driving.
