Three Suspects Charged in Edinburg Shooting of Teen
EDINBURG — Several individuals have been charged with murder after a teenaged male died from a gunshot wound over the weekend. Police investigators arrested, Eric Attwood, Yaritza Tijerina and Leonardo Moreno who are believed to be involved in the drive-by shooting on Friday night on the 200 block of South 29th street. Witnesses say more than twenty people were hanging around the area when a grey van pulled up and began to fire a weapon into the crowd. It was reported that nearly seven rounds were fired into the crowd with one bullet striking 17 year-old Miguel Vasquez in the neck and killing him. Each of the three suspects is being held on a $750,000 dollar bond and police are searching for one more suspect, 21 year-old Martin Tijerina Jr, a family member to Yaritza Tijerina.
