A local attorney has admitted he played a role in helping for State District Judge Abel Limas to charges of aiding and abetting extortion.

Jose Martin Valle admitted to the charges and being paid $25,000 dollars for his services and using $3,000 dollars to pay Limas for a favorable decision. Valle faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.
