Thieves Stealing AC Units in Brownsville

Brownsville police need your help finding AC units like this that are being stolen by thieves.

The sun beats down and temperatures are in the 90's. Many people everyday rely on cooling off with air condition. One of those is Jennifer Elizondo who has an air conditioner at her home.

"Everyday its constantly running we have to keep the house cool its ridiculously hot outside."

Brownsville police say many folks recently have been inconvenienced with thieves stealing small and large AC condition units from schools, businesses, and homes.
In just the last couple months police have got reports of more than a dozen units stolen.
This home on La Carreta was recently hit by thieves.
Police say these units are not cheap to replace. Some units can cost around $2,000 dollars.

"There going to have to go out and purchase a new unit, the cost to replace it, install it again it becomes quite costly."
