For those who need to cool off from the heat, but don't have the means, the Salvation Army may be your answer.

The "Beat the Heat" campaign officially kicked off on Thursday morning which helps families who can not afford to purchase fans or air conditioners. The Salvation Army and CPL Retail Energy are partnering up to beat the heat. The CPL Retail Energy Company donated $7,000 dollars to buy 500 fans and several air conditioning units.
