The Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival Underway
RIO GRANDE VALLEY - The Rio Grande Valley Birding Festival is celebrating their 18th anniversary and coordinators are hoping this year is as successful as the last eighteen years.
The festival offers different activities to bird lovers by having seminars, field trips to birding hot spots, trade shows and events for children. Festival Chairperson Marci Fuller said, "We have about 30 birds here in the Valley that you can't see anywhere else in the United States. So for birders who are interested in traveling and seeing new birds, we have the single biggest concentration of birds here in the Valley of any place in the United States of new birds for people to come see."
The festival kicks-off today and runs through Sunday at the Harlingen Municipal Auditorium on Fair Park Boulevard. For more information on the event visit: http://www.rgvbf.org/
