Texas Senators accepting applications to fill judicial vacancies
WASHINGTON, D.C. (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Two Texas Senators have announced they are accepting applications for judicial vacancies available in the State of Texas.
U.S. Senator John Cornyn and Ted Cruz have established a bipartisan panel, of attorneys in Texas, to help find six qualified candidates to fill judicial vacancies.
The panel, known as the Federal Judicial Evaluation Committee,will review applications, conduct interviews and then make the recommendations to the Senators.
The vacancies are in Houston, Corpus Christi, Brownsville, Sherman, Texarkana and San Antonio districts.
Qualified attorneys, seeking appointment to the vacancies, are asked to submit their resumes and complete a questionnaire here
All applications must be completed and received at the below email addresses no later than Monday, August 19, 2013.
