Texas Jobless Rate Falls Again To 8.1 Percent

RIO GRANDE VALLEY - The Texas unemployment rate was 8.1 percent in November that's down from an 8.4 in October.

That drop is reflected locally, although our unemplyment is still in double figures.

11.2% of the workforce in Brownsville and Harlingen were unemployed in november, that's down from 11.9 percent in october.

And the novemeber unemplyment rate in Mcallen, Mission and edinburg, was right at eleven percent.

That's an improvement from the October figure of 11.5%
