Teens arrested for theft of Pit Bull

Harlingen police arrested two teens after they stole a Pit Bull from another man's residence.

On Monday, May 26th at around 3:15 p.m. police were called to a Stripes store located at 1650  N. 77 Sunshine  Strip in reference to a theft.

Police made contact with a man who stated that two unknown teens had taken his dog, a white and gray Pit Bull, without his permission from his home on Adkins Drive.

A search of the area resulted with police locating two teens, identified as Alexis Alamillo, 17, and Sergio Resendez, 17, who were arrested and charged with the theft of the dog.

Both Alamillo and Resendez were handed a $1,000 bond and the dog was returned to the owner.
