Teen Sentenced In Child Murder

Family outraged at plea deal that gave 5-year-old's killer just 28 years in prison.
A teenager was sentenced to 28 years in prison Tuesday in the shooting death of a Minneapolis boy.
Stephon Shannon, 17, entered a guilty plea to a charge of second degree murder for the benefit of a gang last week for killing Nizzel George. The 5-year-old boy was sleeping on his grandmother's couch on June 26, 2012 when Shannon opened fire outside the north Minneapolis home.
Shannon later told police he wanted revenge for a shooting that happened the night before.
An unnamed 15-year-old has also been charged. Prosecutors are fighting to try him as an adult.
