Police in Arizona use a helicopter to rescue an injured teen who fell 30 feet while hiking.

(KPNX) A teenager had to be rescued after a 30 foot fall in the Phoenix Mountain Preserve Tuesday afternoon.

The 17-year-old boy was with two other hikers when he slipped while climbing in the preserve.

The hikers used their cell phones to call 911.

It took rescuers about half an hour to pinpoint the hikers' location.

The teenager had to be lifted by a helicopter because of leg injuries.

No word yet on just how severely the boy was hurt.
