Teen Driver Charged with Manslaughter

A woman is dead after her friend crashed into a metal railroad crossing post on early Saturday morning.

Crissy Guerra, who is 18 years-old, was driving a 2009 Ford Focus on Ruben Torres Boulevard had lost control of the vehicle and hit a metal crossing post. Roxana Sais was the front passenger in the vehicle and was taken to Valley Baptist Medical Center, but had to be flown to San Antonio because of the severity of her injuries and then passed away on Sunday. A second passenger in the vehicle, 20 year-old Michelle Barras also suffered injuries and is recovering at a local hospital. Police have charged Guerra with manslaughter and intoxication assault and her bond was set at $100,000 dollars.
