BROWNSVILLE — A science teacher at the B.I.S.D. is on administrative leave with pay pending results of an investigation involving a student.

Ruben Aynes, a science teacher and baseball coach, at Veterans Memorial high school was placed on administrative leave for punishing a student, of being late to class,  by requiring him to do squat jumps. District officials say they couldn't comment on the issue because the student involved is a minor.
