Suspects in Edinburg Shooting Held by Mexican Authorities
EDINBURG - Mexican authorities have reported that they have detained the two suspects involved in a Edinburg shooting on Wednesday.
The Mexican military and border officials stopped the two men as they attempted to cross into Reynosa, Mexico on Wednesday. They were reported driving a truck that matched the victim's truck description and Mexican authorities also found a gun believed to be used in the shooting of the victim. Edinburg police say the shooting was drug related and that the victim knew the shooter. The two suspects are in custody in Mexico and are facing Mexican charges as well. The Edinburg Police Department is currently working on obtaining arrest warrants and continuing their own investigation.
