Suspects Charged for with Possession of a Controlled Substance

Two San Juan men have been formally charged after police arrested them for selling cocaine out of a home.

Gilberto Garcia and Heriberto Loera were charged with possession of a controlled substance and their arrest were part of the departments Operation Curbside, an initiative that targets street level dealers. Garcia has already been in trouble with the law as he's a convicted dealer. Police say they found a large amount of cash and 144 grams of cocaine at home. San Juan Police Sgt. Rolando Garcia says, "This is something that it's an operation we have going on for about three months and this is probably the fifth house that we've raided as part of Operation Curbside, so we're going to keep the pressure on these guys."
