Suspect wanted by Harlingen police in aggravated assault case

Harlingen police are searching for a man wanted in the investigation of a aggravated assault case.

On Friday, September 20th around 4:30 a.m. officer were dispatched to the 1000 block of South D Street in reference to an assault.

Police spoke with the victim who reported that she had met a man, named Homer, at a Stripes store, located on the 600 block of W. Harrison Avenue, they had a conversation and then he followed her back to her house.

She stated the suspect became upset with her and punched her in the face several times. She was able to to get away from "Homer" and flee the area.

The victim was transported to Valley Baptist Medical Center for treatment of multiple facial fractures.
