Weslaco Police need your help to identify a man that allegedly made unauthorized transactions with a credit card number.

A victim from Angleton, Texas, called the Weslaco police department to report that his credit card number had been used on December 26, at a Stripes store in Weslaco. The victim also reported that he was still in possession of his card and does not know how it was used to make the unauthorized transactions.

Investigators followed up on the report and obtained surveillance video of a Hispanic male using a card to make the unauthorized transactions for $400.00 of fuel. The man is seen wearing an orange “Longhorn” style cap and a black hooded sweater with the words “Edcouch-Elsa JROTC” on it. The vehicle he is driving is a light colored older model Dodge Ram pickup truck. Investigators believe the suspect may have used a “cloned” credit card with the victim’s information.

If you have information about this case, you are asked to call Weslaco Crime Stoppers at 968-8477 (TIPS). If your information leads to an arrest then you are eligible for a cash reward.
