Suspect Stabbings Victim Over Broken Fan

BROWNSVILLE - A weekend stabbing landed one man in the hospital and the suspect behind bars.

According to police reports, 27 year-old Oscar Bautista attacked a man near the 7100 block of Old Military highway by using a small pocket knife after the two got into a fight about a fan the victim had broken. EMS transported the victim to Valley Regional Medical Center with lacerations to the neck, ear and head and he is expected to recover. Bautista was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
